Culture Curious (Podcast)

I will be sharing a brief history of my local culture, the French Acadians and how the culture almost died out completely. Culture is so much more than what country you come from, the food you eat, or music you listen to. I hope you enjoy the podcast and I would love to learn more about the intricacies of your culture! 🙂

  1. It’s so nice to know about different cultures, makes you believe there’s always more to life. I’ve always loved learning more about the history of different countries, thanks to you now I know a bit more about Canada. And yes, I’ve heard the saying “Canadians are really nice!” Haha. On a serious note, I feel really sorry for the French Acadians, for what they had to go through. Being an Indian, I do know about the methods the Britishers used to implement back then and listening to your podcast really made me feel connected to it. About India, well Indians are known for their “jugaad” haha, just google that term and you’ll know. You’re doing a great job, keep smiling! Have a lovely day ❤️❤️

    • Thank you! 🙂 ❤ I looked up "jugaad" and I very much relate to this! lol Especially with food. I grew up relatively poor and there were times we had to get very creative with meals and find ways to extend that meal into left overs for the next few days. Some of those meals I still eat to this day. I even introduced my husband to some of my "poor meals" and he loves them. lol It's amazing what you can make out of very little! 🙂

      • No, that ain’t a poor meal, being creative with food makes it delicious. It’s the little things that matter, right? Since you could relate to that term, I find real pleasure in telling you that you’re Indian material and people here would absolutely love you for that, haha, not that we don’t love the ones who aren’t Indian material 😆 I hope you learn to pronounce the term perfectly or else you won’t be accepted here 😂😂 have a lovely day ❤️
